{"id":181,"date":"2018-10-13T20:40:01","date_gmt":"2018-10-13T20:40:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ullenhallhistory.org\/home\/?page_id=181"},"modified":"2018-10-18T20:51:13","modified_gmt":"2018-10-18T20:51:13","slug":"beryl-minett","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ullenhallhistory.org\/?page_id=181","title":{"rendered":"Beryl Minett nee Boyden"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Ullenhall in the 1930s.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">I lived in Ullenhall from 1935 for about 4 years going to the Village School.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">The teachers then were Mrs Friend and Mrs Barrat. I kept in touch every Xmas with Mrs Friend right up until she died a few years ago, and still do the same with another ex-pupil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">I have very fond memories of my schooldays in the Village \u2013 going on Nov 11<sup>th<\/sup> to the Remembrance Service round the War Memorial, and standing in the cold &amp; fog for the minutes silence, and the cars etc all stopping \u2013 The concerts we put on in the Village Hall \u2013 Nature walks around local farms \u2013 The school garden \u2013 and quite a few other things.
